Lots to do in October

So many fun things to do this time of year!

Today we went to Green Meadows Petting Farm. The girls loved all the animals and it was such a beautiful cool day.
L trying to feed the turkey her granola bar. She feeds birds in backyard regularly with my mom so she's very comfortable with them.

N fell in love with this duckling. She was so impressed he was falling asleep in her arms.
I asked Val if she was too old for the petting farm and she said, "Not yet, I still like it." It's only a matter of time :(

I'm pretty sure this was L's first pony ride. She was a little unsure but excited too.

Picking out her own pumpkin.

After 10 minutes and 500 pumpkins N was frustrated she couldn't find a good one.

Little L took a trial class at My Gym, a fun place for kids and loved the ball pit. It reminded me that we had a bunch of balls in the attic that I bought for the grand total of $1 in 2003 when Val was 1. We have gotten our dollar's worth from these!
Homemade pudding pops :)
I've joined the local MOMS Club, my 3rd one with all our moves! The Fall Festival was fun...

Our good friends throw a Witch's Tea Party every year for all the girls. This year was fun as always...even if N decided not to dress as a witch, but instead wore the Halloween shirt she painted!

Spooky storytime.

Jason & his dad at his official swearing in ceremony as an attorney.
It's mid October and it's how hot?!
Hot enough to wash the car in bathing suits!

Lauren helped too.

Natalie after her Fun Run school fundraiser.
3 Sisters Store. L's on the PA system.
Wish she'd keep the pigtails in!
Last weekend we celebrated at Sea World.
Lauren (16 months) as a Ladybug
Natalie (5) as a Pumpkin Princess
Vallarie (7 )as Wonder Woman

As many of you know, Jason's stepfather, Big Roy passed away on October 2nd. He has been a part of Jason's life for the past 27 years & mine for the last 16. I am so very happy with my life and am grateful for the experiences that have led me to where I am right now. He has been a big part of those experiences that have created the present.

His generosity enabled me to take some fabulous vacations I otherwise wouldn't have. I'll miss his macaroni salad, delicious ribs, & buttery cornbread. He was quite a cook. You could see the joy he got from being around his grandkids. I'm sorry he couldn't have been a part of our lives for a longer period of time. I hope he has found peace.

September's End

V is really excited about being Wonder Woman for Halloween. After she chose her costume, I showed her some clips of the show on You Tube and now she's even more excited.

Here she and her good buddy Emily made Banana Bread all by themselves...start to finish. I did overhear this cute snippet of conversation.. "Let's put more eggs in, they were fun to break!" "We better not, it says it only needs 2, more might make it yucky!"
(Jason- check out her flamingo stance. One more piece of evidence she is 'Mini Jeni')
Will & Lauren eating lunch in the big chairs. At just shy of 16 months, she thinks she's too big for her booster chair with a tray.
How to make a doll lovers day?! Matching pjs for you and your doll!

(One sad/bittersweet note- V grew up a whole lot in a few minutes by jumping from the childhood 'believers' to the older 'in the know' kids. :( It has been the most fun 7.5 years of magic & I'm sad it's over for her.)

Fun at the park.
Once again... too big for anything that's for a baby...gotta do the big swing.
Checking her Facebook status.
Cousin trouble :)
W & N pushed each other around the circle in the house for a long time this way. It only took N about 10 minutes of crashing to realize she can steer it!
Right now it's blissful outside, high 70s and NO HUMIDITY! The back doors are open and L is having a blast on the patio.

This evening is Jason's official swearing in ceremony as an attorney. He passed the bar with flying colors and later commented, "Maybe I shouldn't have been SO worried, my score was right where all my practice exam scores were...passing!" DUH. He starts with Holland & Knight on Monday!

Tomorrow morning I'm headed off on a weekend Bahamas cruise with 32 other moms. Really looking forward to relaxing and recharging. Think of Jason with his 3 little ladies this weekend :)
