Funny Kidisms

Here are some gems from the past few months...

"You're comfortable mom, I like all the squishy spots, especially your belly."

After a giggle fit N says, "my laughing system is going crazy!!". 5 second pause, "do I even have a laughing system?!"

We were eating fish for dinner and N wasn't happy. "mom I can't eat this, cause ya know of it being deadish"

After 2.5 weeks off is school they are sadly heading back today. N was up and dressed a full hour before it was time to leave. She nervously commented, "I think I remember all the rules."

"Mom? Are New Kids on the Block really kids?"

Natalie was talking about Cinderella and mentioned the Fairy Godmother.  Lauren tells her, "We don't say GOD."  (as in 'oh my god')


I told Nat I was a teacher too. "yeah but that was 100 million billion years ago!"

"Mom that picture doesn't look like you at all, it looks so pretty!"

Two days before her bday V says, "tomorrow I can say tomorrow is my birthday!"

N, "I'm super allergic to nothing!"

N, "there are so many boys in this world!"

Where the Heck Have I Been?

Oh blog of mine, how you have been neglected but not forgotten!  Pay no attention to the title and message of this song, I just like how it sounds.

Reasons you have not seen much action lately-

• I started a different blog, I know, it sounds like I've been cheating on you.  It's a photo a day blog where I share just one photo I take each day with a short explanation of what it is.  My blogs are very much for me, sorry to be so vain, but they are my outlet for self expression and surprisingly posting 1 quick photo (often taken from and immediately emailed directly from the love of my life aka my iphone) is satisfying the need to tell you about me and mine.
• I got a snazzy new camera for Christmas which I know very little about but doesn't seem to stop me from taking oddles and oddles of photos of each event which consequently makes it very difficult for me to choose which of all those photos to blog.  It seems overwhelming and I can't seem to block out the kids and responsibilities for an entire day to sift through lots of shots and decide which to blog, shame isn't it?!
• Not too much has happened since the holidays.  Who knew our family would be so boring right?
• I do actually have 2 or 3 posts in progress and again the whole "being a mom" gig prevents me from sitting down to put the finishing touches on these gems and getting them to my fans.

So until I can give this blog some quality time, I figured I'd share my other blog.  Because I'm sure the withdraw of witty overly sarcastic verbage paired with lots of photos of my kids has sent you into shock.  I'll be back, promise.
