Sea World

Visiting Sea World with the kids just doesn't get old. Since they started the great FL resident plans of buy one day get the rest of the year free, we've loved having passes. Friday was Valla's long awaited field trip to Sea World. Unfortunately, she was sidelined with the stomach bug and wasn't able to go. We made up for it by going on Sunday with the family.

It was the first time Lauren really realized there were lots of "big fish" as she called them. She loved the dolphin nursery which was hopping as it was feeding time and was mesmorized during the Shamu show. We've since watched many Shamu videos on you tube.

N braved the junior roller coaster and isn't a real fan. But knew the rule of "Once you get on, you can't get off!"

The girls did great feeding the sting rays but L did not like them at all.

I love living so close and being able to pop in for a few hours. We've made many great memories there and look forward to many more.

Impromptu Zoo

Reason # 4321 why I love being a stay at home mom. I decided today is the day the 4 bags of Random Bits of Sh!t aka RBofS that I covertly collected from their rooms in Nov and hid in the attic since, had to go to Goodwill! Intended on taking them to a drop off location but then remembered the zoo had one closer. Apparently that was a while ago because we are at the zoo, but no drop off. New plan, we're getting use from our zoo pass and the 4 bags of RBofS are sitting in the car. Much more fun! Just gotta get rid of those bags before 2:45 whxn the girls return... or at least throw them back in the attic.

February in 1 Post

Oh blog, how I've missed you! It's been too long. My laptop died and with it went my comfort level with storing our family photos and videos. I've now forced myself to become accustomed to Jason's.

February passed with a blur... here are some highlights.

Natalie lost her first tooth! She convinced Jason to pull it with pliers :(

My girls, my mom and I threw Niki a baby shower...lots of fun.

Cookie Buffet!! I shamelessly stole this awesome idea from a friend's shower. Much better than cake in my opinion.
This guy visits the tree in our back yard a few times a week...so cool.
We went rock climbing!

L giving it a go...

Mom bought me a sewing machine....my first project.
A budding artist
The girls wanted to handmake their Valentines this year...turned out very cute. These are Valla's.
Here are Nat's. They did just about all the work themselves!
V has restarted some horseback riding lessons.

Girl Scout cookie time!

Field trip to Blue Springs.
Proof Click Clack Mafia is the perfect title.

I heard Starbucks was hiring...I think she has a shot, don't you?

My favorite quote from a book I read, "his face had that beautiful light children have before the Age of Reason gets at them."

Natalieisms:
N, "the groundhog saw his shadow, that means 6 more weeks of Christmas."

N's reply to the traffic, "Mom, just beep your honker."

N has had a difficult time getting up and ready in the mornings. We decided to start an incentive chart. 10 good mornings marked by smiley faces = a trip to McDonalds for a McFlurry. I try to be creative with my smiley faces. As I drew the last hot pink one she looks at me, shakes her head, and says, "Don't tell me you drew a cancer one!" I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

That's all Folks...for now.
