End of July

It's Sunday evening and Jason is putting the finishing touches on his massive study effort that he embarked on in May. He heads out tomorrow, Mon, for Tampa to check into his hotel. The bar examination will be all day Tuesday and Wednesday. I've been both amazed and impressed with his perseverance and commitment to studying. I didn't expect anything less, but still! We wish him much luck and know he will do great! He won't know his results until late Sept.

While he's been away preparing, we've been enjoying our summer. Here's some of what we've been up to.

L feed herself some yogurt while I was cooking dinner. You have to look closely to see the damage.

V had a sleepover with L...the first of many I'm sure.
The girls having a lemonade tea party with their tea set from London.
Mary and the girls taking a walk on the land behind our house. The sandhill cranes are regular visitors.
Without the zoom.
They came back with treasures of an eggshell and feather.

Princess in a plastic teapot...she's a crazy kitten.
V is very into fairies :) She has some fairy houses and even hand sewed a fairy dress.

One of L's favorite activities is to get our neighbor to push her around in the babydoll stroller. Here she doubled her pleasure by carrying the kitten at the same time.
We hit Daytona Beach this week and enjoyed the sea, sand and friends.

After we played by shore, we headed up towards the pool, but L had other plans. She was really impressed with the soft sugar sand. She sat right down and enjoyed herself.

L has been into babies lately. This morning she wouldn't put this one down to eat her cereal. What a good mommy.
Sporting Grandma's high heels.

Natalieisms-
  • N has been complaining her room is too hot and she would like a fan. Jason got her one and Mary brought over one for her the same day. Mary said she'd take her's back and N replied, "No, I'll keep it, I need lots of blow."
  • I always want to remember the million love notes Nat gives us that she writes "ILY" for I Love You.
  • N saw a bible chapter and verse on her vacation bible school craft "John 3:16" and told me - "that's the time in case you need it."
  • We were talking about how the brain sends lots of messages all over her body. Her response was, "It's really busy!"
  • "Mom, I don't know how, but some how salt water got in my tears."
  • I told the girls we were having frozen pizza for dinner. She says, "Mom, I don't want it frozen, I want it hot!"
  • While she was riding her bike she says, "Mom, it's hot can you bring out a fan?"
  • "I have go to the bathroom really really super 100 bad!"
