Did I blink?!
Can it really be over?!
We had such a great holiday break. The kids have been home since Dec 23 and tomorrow it's back to school. I was wondering what we'd do to fill 2.5 weeks and there was never a dull moment.
V is such a great baker/cook/kitchen buddy. We made the Pioneer Woman's web-famous maple cinnamon rolls. My first go around with live yeast. I think if you have enough butter and sugar (which these did) anything tastes good!
Christmas Eve brunch with Louise, Jason's mom.
It's been great to share the holidays with her this year.
More cinnamon roll prep.
Ready for Santa :)
9 hours later = Ready to Open!
LG LOVES that she has matching nightgowns w "Mammawee"
Val's fav new blanket & cozy chair.
This is a chair Val got for her American Girl doll. LG was convinced it was just for her and carried it around the house to have a seat when she needed.
I got a fancy new camera for Christmas but have figured out little other than the automatic setting!
Looking forward to figuring it all out!
Val felt inspired to camp. LG joined her. Nat likes her cozy Memory Foam topped bed too much!
(She was excited to get a Memory Foam topper since it would "help her remember better."
So BIG
Valla and her favorite thing, Emery, which she got from Santa FIVE years ago! Emery recently visiting the doll hospital for a make over/head replacement.
Zoobles = what brings sisters together!
LG and one of her fav gifts, a ceramic piggy bank. She wanted to take it everywhere.
GREAT tree this year, thank you Home Depot & remembering to water regularly :)
We ventured downtown Orlando and met Jason to watch the Citrus Bowl Parade.
This is the view from his office.
Dress Up time
For New Year's Eve we fired up the spa and fire pit. Forgive my lack of camera settings and subsequent bad photos.
Around 9:30 we had a virtual countdown celebration and Sprite toast :)
These guys made it up to midnight, well 2 of the 3 did.
So the other day I'm vacuuming and LG is on the enclosed patio riding her bouncy horse. I stick my head out to say hi and she casually mentions, "Fate (our cat) getting baby snake." I said, "What, did you say?!" She repeats, "Fate getting baby snake mom." Fate is next to the bouncy horse. Oh, look below my 2 year old's feet... it's a snake!
I got her off the horse, got the snake into a bucket when she asked, "Please I touch him?" Where is her fear?! We had a long talk about telling mommy about snakes as soon as we see them.
Beach fun, even in January!
Ice Skating Fun
