Click-Clack Mafia: Castles & Museums....there's a few of them here.

We took at 2 hour train ride to Warwick Castle. Parts of it were commissioned by William the Conquer around 1050. This trevichet(sp?) really worked, they threw a rock with it.

Here we are at the top of one of the towers. I look worn out because there were some 500 stone steps in this tiny circular stair case, with the baby on me. Totally counts as a work out. Jason was freaking out looking at the construction methods and the fact these towers were built in the 1300 and 1400's. We made it!

The Royal Box at the Palladium.

We went to see The Sound of Music, it was SO good!

We bought this for L off Ebay, Jason picked it up on the bus & carried it home.... on his head.

Victoria & Albert
Jason, Lauren & I went to this impressive collection of various fine arts. This was the entrance.

Street Scenes
Lotsa smelly cheese, even smelled outside.

This is a typical walkway in the Tube system.

British Museum- We only went through the Greek and Egyptian exhibits and it took a while. Lots more to see.

N was looking to see if there was a mummy in this sarcophagus.

THE Rosetta Stone- I was very impressed!

This reminded us of one of N's favorite guy from Night at the Museum... he says, "Dumb dumb, give me some gum gum!"

Argos- This is a crazy store. You look through a gigantic catalog and then punch in your item number to see if it's in stock. They also do home delivery. We have a catalog at home and the girls pour over it for hours.

If it's in stock you go to the kiosk and pay for it.

Then you wait as things come down the conveyor belt.

Mary treated Valla, Natalie and I to Quidam, the Cirque de Souile show. Those people are amazing!

Transportation Museum
This was a lot of fun. Lots of hands on stuff for the kids. They successfully drove the Tube simulator and Natalie played bus driver for quite a while. It was neat to see how all the tubes, tunnels, bus routes and things we use every day came to be. Our Tube Station opened in 1931.

This shows how they would tear open the street, build a track & tunnel, then cover it again. Kinda messy.

Windsor Castle

A few weekends ago we took a train out of the city and visited Windsor Castle. It is an amazing castle that is the still in use by the Royal family. There was no photography allowed inside, but it was gilded, enormous and fit for a queen.
