Camden & St. Paul's

A few weekends ago we ventured to Camden, an area just north of Central London. It's known for it's lock and markets. The markets here are similar to flea markets in FL. Lots of junk at cheap prices. Once in a while you see some antiques but usually a mixture of handicrafts, things you'd find in the dollar section of Target and fair food (my favorite part!)

The streets here are a little edgy, totally the right neighborhood to get a piercing, tattoo, or leather clothing. Out kids counted as 3 of the 6 total we saw!

This was weird, The Horse Tunnel Market, it's under a road and as you can see the stalls are still there and now it's where vendors peddle their goods. They weren't keen on photographs but there was a piano vendor next to the largest supply of 80's retro clothing I've ever seen. I now know where to find a pair of lime green spandex pants if so needed.

I couldn't persuade Jason to buy this groovy Gator shirt.
I thought for sure this was a mirage...

The working locks....

We visited the amazingly large and ornate
St. Paul's Cathedral. No photos were allowed inside, but it was opulent and the mosaics just breathtaking. It's the church Princess Diana & Charles were married in and Valla made sure to stand in the aisle like her picture shows.

We walked up the million of stairs to the Whispering Gallery where you can whisper and the sound travels around the room and your neighbor on the other side can hear it, girls loved this! We then walked up more stairs to the look out area, great skyline shots.
