Tea Time

Today we went to Afternoon Tea at the Orangery which is part of Kensington Palace in Hyde Park. The girls have been very excited to get all dressed up and go to tea. With their cousin Taylor visiting, it was the perfect time. Here they are in Hyde Park. (The man on the right is nuts, it was NOT warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt, well by FL standards anyway.)
Waiting our turn.

This is us with Jason's sister, Rhonda and her husband Layne, we've had lots of fun.

The girls with their peppermint tea (and back up apple juice.)
1st up- Cucumber and Cream Cheese Sandwiches

2nd- Scones with cream & jam (I'm not a huge fan of scones, but these were so soft and moist, best ever.)
3rd- CAKE!

Fabulous dessert table

The Secret Garden Bathrooms...the tea room is in Hyde Park and apparently they are non too keen on the park goers using their restroom out back, so they have a keypad you have to enter a code into, to unlock it. Once inside it's a long hallway with individual rooms that each have toilets and sinks. (PS- the code is 2424 if you need it.)
After wards we headed over a few blocks to take in the monstrosity that is Harrods. I was amazed and somewhat saddened by the shear excess and extravagance. I've always known I'm not a high end girl, but $4,000 bags and $800 casual dresses seem like such a waste of money to me. I could think of much better uses for that cash. There were plenty of patrons who didn't seem the least worried about a recession or slow economy.

Never seen a dressing room for a dog...until now.
[Music disclaimer- Jason chose the music and has been under the influence of his Ska loving barrister (UK's version of an attorney.)]
